In just ten years, Cobalt Park has become the most successful office scheme in the UK.
So far, more than 1.25 million sq ft of offices have been constructed at Cobalt that will grow to 2.25 million sq ft when the park is complete, making it the largest business park in the UK.
1998 saw developers Highbridge Business Park Ltd acquire 80 acres of land from Tyne and Wear Development Company. Since then, a further 130 acres have been added to the park which is now regarded as one of the leading business destinations in the UK with occupiers that include Procter & Gamble, Orange, GE Money and DWP.
What makes Cobalt stand out as a business location is what Highbridge calls the “Cobalt Advantage” – a unique combination of world-class facilities that include bespoke travel plans for staff, dedicated bus routes, a Community Card offering shopping and leisure discounts and on-site session from Tai Chi to horse riding.
A fantastic track record of lettings has seen take-up at Cobalt exceed national levels and with a continued interest from major corporate and public sector occupiers, the next ten years promise to be as successful as the first.
